Oh, I'm sorry to say this, but I've noticed that some people from our class are just not serious about this. AND, our class has gone from an A grade to E grade for cleanliness. I hope everyone does their duty. PLEASE DO.
For the teachers' day audition for we are one, WQ's "gang" (which excludes wanlin who at least has been trying to sing), if you don't listen to our warnings when we ask you to stop playing and actually SING, I will not photocopy the scores for you.
I'm very serious about this. This applies to everyone else. We are going to sing like a choir on stage, and if you're going to tikum-tikum, those people who are not serious will sing solo one by one till we are satisfied. And those peeps without scores will look like idiots. I'm not being rude or slandering these people, just warning you. And WQ's "gang", if you're going to keep playing and not practise with us, I shall make MINCED meat out of you. -..-
Or you could just deal with the embarassment of singing solo, in front of the whole class.
P.S. This is not cyberbullying. I just decided not to be so lenient anymore.

The one Ms Lye was tyring to get people to participate in a competition? You can just go and play. and buy stuff. Or we could go to Marina Bay (the fields nearby) and watch it 'live'. I went there last year and it was brilliant. We could also bring portable tvs (i have one small one) and have class picnic there. x)

Huahua has already volunteered! :D Yay. Can anyone else please, please volunteer?
Refreshments
Okay, Nat and I have decided we should buy about 1-3 tins of those biscuit thingies and some bottles of green tea and ice lemon tea to share. since we will be playing Uno with them (111 has already taught them Uno, so ... phew.) we'll probably break up into groups for Uno, so these groups can be the refreshments groups too! so you sit in your groups (which inc. old folks) and talk and eat and drink (Not all at the same time I hope).
we will try to confirm how many old folks there are on monday so we can estimate rough no. of groups and group size and buy refreshments. judging by the estimates so far, can anyone volunteer to buy the refreshments? preferably someone who has easy transport to buy the refreshments and bring them to school.
We will be performing all for one and mass dance to um, take up time, as unprofessional as the reason sounds. to refresh our memories and improve co-ordination we should practice for 15-20 minutes during lunch break on monday and tuesday. please do not back out of these practices. they are very important, as is CIP. do put your heart and effort in, okay? please.

To get from MOELC Ghim Moh to Esplanade:
1.Find Me xDTake bus 92 and get off at Buona Vista MRT Station. It's 3 stops after you get on the bus i think...
2.wait for me xDTake the train heading in the direction of Pasir Ris and alight at City Hall MRT Station
3. Walk through CityLink Mallbuy lots of bread at breadtalkand at one point you will see escalators with "Esplanade" and an arrow pointing down i think... but anyway i know the way xD
4. Walkkk to Esplanade and admire the visual art as you pass by! xD

Oh ya before i forget:To get from MOELC Bishan to Esplanade:
1. Walk to Bishan MRT station. if you don't know the way, find someone who does or follow the crowd that's going towards Bishan.
2. Take the train heading in the direction of Marina Bay and alight at City Hall MRT Station. Don't get off at the wrong station! =D
3. Same thing, walk through CityLink Mall and at one point you will see escalators with "Esplanade" and an arrow pointing down i think... but anyway I think we should meet up at City Hall MRT Station and walk to Esplanade together. =D

I haven't been posting for a really long time :\ Anyway, this is about CIP.
So, we have one and a half hours to two hours to entertain the old folks! I thought that maybe we could do the following:
- Talent show
Hopefully this will last about 15-20 minutes. We also need to plan a program, to see who's performing and everything. If you can sing, dance, or have a talent that is greater than anyone else's, WE NEED YOU! (Huahua, you can play the longest piece that you can play on the violin for them ;D ty!)
- Singing session/performance as a class
I think previously we wanted to dance all for one/mass dance for them. I think we can still dance, though we only have two days to practice. We could do both, but we need to revise the movements and all, so maybe yall could stay back for a teeny weeny bit during lunch just to go high over dancing?(: I think this should last about 10 minutes? Plus maybe we could sing tong hua to them. That's more time used up :D
- Interaction time+refreshments!
We can talk to them and massage their backs or something O.o Just basically encourage them to talk to us about random things. But for refreshments we need to get people to buy them, so I think maybe we just get some polar puffs or something, or we could get those cheese cake things from cold storage, i dunno. Tag your ideas. I HOPE. This will last half an hour D:
- UNO/MAHJONG/SOME IMPROMPTU SKIT THING
If they don't know how to play Uno, and we don't have enough mahjong sets >< I think we could do a skit. Or, we could sing some more chinese songs and pull random old people up stage and let them sing along(: Or we could do origami! This will last uhm, 5-10 minutes?
That's like 70 minutes when I add up all the longest time we'll take. Or maybe the time taking to settle down will be longer. Ah. Please tag and comment. Thank you!

I think we can perform All For One. Also, Natalie should be planning a talent show, right? If possible can any of you volunteer? You can do anything: read a poem you composed, wushu (hint hint), dance with your friends, sing (with your friends?) or anything. Be CREATIVE! of course, refreshments are a must.
::Teachers' Day song practices
I think it would be a little rushed to only start practising after block tests. as such we can organize little groups to practice during breaks for about 10 minutes. you can do with your friends. this way, it's relaxing -takes off stress, yah, just get to know the song, don't concentrate on memorizing the lyrics; if you're used to listening to it soon the lyrics will come naturally- and fun. and not so rushed for later.

NYCB Performance: How to go to MRT FROM NY

Fiona's already posted how to get to Esplanade from Ghim Moh, so for those going from NYGH, take bus 171 (no need to cross the road to HCI; take from the bus stop directly outside our school) to Newton MRT Station (easily recognisable by its bright orange hue) and take the Marina Bay-bound train to City Hall Interchange where from there you can just follow Fiona's instructions.

Ok. We're supposed to go and watch NYCB's concert on 4 August (?) at the esplanade. People with 3rd lang. can go directly from ghim moh. We can like, go together. Take the MRT to City Hall and follow the directions through the underground CityLink Mall (it's an underground mall linking th emajor shopping centres in CBD together. It is under the expressways, etc.). If we go there earlier, we can take snacks from the cafes there and do our homework in library@esplanade. =D
And, guys, have you seen my thumbdrive? It is a white Toshiba 1GB thumbdrive. I last saw it on my table, while i was going off for lunch. It has a pink keychain attached. I'm freaking out over my loss so lif you have seen it, then please tell me.

Okay, updates from today's CCT!
(1) Class CIP
Well, a shock for some of you: our class CIP's next week! It's on the 15th of July at Lions Befrienders, just to refresh your memory. Now we haven't officially planned anything yet so we must hurry up and jiayou okay!
So far, the ideas:
- Talent show (where we can *cough* show off Wan Qing's wushu! *clap clap* ;D and of course our other talents- where do we begin? Just kidding.)
- Singing/Karaoke session
- Random talk/tea time where we sip tea (optional) and chat with the old folks

Yes, next week (w4) is my last week in Nanyang and I'm flying off on the 20th. For more specific details please ask me in person, because if I post them here I might get stalked.

coz uhm i didn't get mine
i chose to get letters in chinese.
so uhm whoever distributed the letters gave one (english verson) to me and then remembered that i'm supposed to get the chinense version.
but in the end i didn't get it.

uhm.
is anyone's EZ-link card also not working? i added $30 on monday and on tuesday i couldn't use it... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
today i couldn't use it either. the bus driver said the card has expired. whatthehell??????
then the ppl at the information counter said there was something wrong with it and i need to take it to jurong east bus interchange to get a new one. D:
just wondering whether this is a problem encountered by lots of ppl or just me. D:
if it's a problem lots of ppl are having then we shall COMPLAIN! yay must be DDDDDDD:<<<<<<<<<><
